Layered History

This narrative describes the history and agricultural abundance of the downtown San Jose area and speaks to the growth of the area over time. Each period influencing the next, layer upon layer resulting in the vibrant, dynamic community of present-day downtown San Jose. Starting at the top with the earliest glacial movements and moving down through early settlers, agriculture and the beginnings of community. Near the center of the narrative, we see the current day, bustling, active downtown and toward the bottom is the foundation for the future yet to come.
